Episode 014: Working Class

Chat with Eric Hamann of Working Class Bowhunters Podcast about his start in hunting from a young age and how later he grew to be an avid bow hunter. His love for whitetail and hate for turkeys (I don't get it).

The struggles and tribulations and how we keep coming back for more.

Episode 013: (Perceived) Barriers to Entry

Conner Wakefield and I chat about (perceived) barriers of entry into the hunting and outdoor world. Here is what we cover:

Money

Mentors, Community, & support

Land

Knowledge & Confidence

Non Stereotypical Hunter & Fitting in

Physical Fitness, disability, and health

We don't always agree but we have a similar mission. Share our love and experiences of the outdoors and hunting, community, conservation, and encouraging others to go for it.

"You just need to get out in the woods and fail."

What do you think? What are other barriers holding you back? Do agree with some of our perspective thoughts or hang ups? Would love to hear your opinion!

Episode 012: Backed into a corner

Interview with Seth Porter, Host of The Nomad Project Podcast.

I catch up with Seth, recovering from a hit to the head after a fight he recently trained for. We discuss  lessons learned, focus, and the need for violence and peace harmoniously. Reflecting on 2019 and looking at 2020 plan of attack.

How can we make more out of our day?

How do you manage it all?

How do you prepare for what you want?

How much work are you willing to put in?

Episode 011: Who I was when I was fearless

Interview with Quad City Women Outdoor's Club President, Chris Ciasto.

From lost to 25 years sober. From always in a hurry to learning to pay attention. This is about doing things for you. It's about connection, community and being present.

Episode 010: It's okay just being okay

This is an interview with ME, Steph, the host of Woods and Waters Project.

If you haven't listened to any of my episodes so far, if this is the only one you choose, I would appreciate it. I am interviewed by my buddy, Jacob (the coon hunter from episode 007), completely unplanned. I let him ask what he wanted and we go for it!

Why I started this podcast, what I believe in, and what is next.

I have had a number of people telling me they would like to get to know ME better, so here it is...

Great to meet you <3

Episode 009: Doing it & doing it well

Met up with Conner & Tim at a local archery range to record this episode. What starts off as an interview with Conner Wakefield, (@whitetaildrifter) public land hunter, and video creator turns more into a B.S session and an interview with Tim Cool.

Tim is a long time hunter, opportunist, video creator, and owner of @prodigyoutdoorscbd.

We talk about public vs. private land hunting, what makes a good bowhunter, the perception of Iowa hunters, and 120 class deer.

I seriously can't believe I got an episode out of this....

Also you have to make it to the end for an extra treat from Tim.

Episode 007: "Pretty Well Miserable"

Out coon hunting for the first time with Jake and his girl snitch!
Jake competes with his coon dog and is a waterfowl guide across the country.

There was something old school about the whole thing and a complete blast! I couldn't believe how much fun I had and how little I knew. Jake's good buddy, Merlin, joins us in the middle of our hunt. Merlin being one of Jake's biggest influences, it was something truly special to be apart of watching them work together!

There is so much to see out there, if you just get out there!!

Fast friends, hell of an adventure! Hope you'll take a listen!
